Copyright, Ownership, and Return of Materials

Each stitched panel is a contribution to a collective memorial curated by Mary Evers. By accepting the materials and participating in Stitch Their Names, you confirm and agree to the following:

• All materials provided—including fabric, thread, templates, and panels—remain the property of Mary Evers and are supplied solely for the purpose of contributing to this project.

• You are obliged to return all completed panels and any unused materials within a reasonable time upon completion or upon request.

• In consideration of the materials provided and the opportunity to participate, you irrevocably assign to Mary Evers all copyright and related rights in the stitched panel you produce. This includes the rights to:

• exhibit the work in whole or in part;

• publish the work in print or digital form (e.g. in books, catalogues, archives);

• photograph or reproduce the work;

• use the work in promotional or educational materials;

• incorporate the work into merchandise or fundraising initiatives, provided proceeds support the aims of the project.

• You understand that not all panels may be exhibited simultaneously, and that selection, arrangement, and use of panels is at the sole discretion of the curator.

• You waive any right to claim ownership, authorship, approval, compensation, or attribution beyond that provided as part of the project.

• You agree not to retain, reproduce, exhibit, or publish the panel or its content in any form without prior written permission.

• If a contributor fails or refuses to return the materials or completed panel, the curator reserves the right to take reasonable steps to recover the property and maintain curatorial integrity.

By proceeding with the stitching, you accept these terms in full.
